Open Fire Candles

As a Virgo, this page is mutable. I highlight different projects I have worked on.

I make candles over an open fire pit, at a specific time, chosen by reviewing the astrology and planetary hours.

In January 2024, on the day that Pluto moved into Aquarius, I made beeswax candles and mullein torches over an open fire in the snow. Like any herbs used in my work, I harvested the native mullein from my home, dried it and prepared it for the torches.

These candles and torches are now attuned to transformational energy, and are, honestly, so special. The mullein torches were made first. Pieces of the mullein broke off and entered the beeswax.

Mullein assists in clearing -- and when we transform, we need to let go of what we no longer need or what's holding us back. 

By making the candles in different landscapes and astrology, it’s creating a tangible item to return to for reliving that moment in time and space.
